Interesting story. This is what I called theft work. Late 93 and having just returned from California - certainly not having money for models, I used graphics from other paintings, as well as advertisments. It figures that this 'theft' is the only work done where I was offered money ($800 from a small local art dealer, Arthur Levine). I declined to sell, only to give it away to an ex-girlfriend.
