QUESTION AUTHORITY - WACK RADIO
In early 1993, while working
at C S Fisheries in Parkland, two FBI and one FCC agent had come by to ask
a few questions
and I almost shit a brick.
While attempting our hand at pirate radio, we thought it would be funny to break into people's television and radio channels, announcing it was the voice of God and asking if they could hear us.
We called our station
W. A. C. K. - Wack Radio - We were on a few times, for three or four hours
at a time.
We played underground and unsigned artists and ranted about the government
and social strife.
Soon the warehouse from
where we aired got raided. They didn't prosecute because they found no equipment
.
We weren't tipped, just paranoid and stashed the equipment miles away.
But it turns out our God stunt got us the attention, so they heard the program
- and we put ads in underground mags with the call letters.
So, 1 + 1 = busted.
We later decieded to turn it off the FM band, switching over to AM, after another incident where FCC henchmen harassed us and opened my mail. Nervous, and thinking I needed a break, I ran off to California... again.

This blurb comes from the final days just after broadcasting on the AM band.
