1. Tell us how your project(s) were started.
The Devil's Diary magazine occurred to Me when I began receiving sizable amounts of email requesting information on Satanism and The Occult in general, so I decided to compile a magazine encompassing these inquiries, as well as multi-media reviews, suggestions for Greater and Lesser Magic, Satanic Artwork. The Shadowmantium has served to disseminate some of the subject matter mentioned, and has remained a source of elucidation and entertainment for many who have entered its darkened technomantic halls, and The Devil's Diary is an extension of it, including material that is not available on the site, nor may ever be. Its purpose is to be a think-tank for more studious and serious members of My order, which is a personal adjunct to The Church of Satan.
The projects listed under Blackthorne Productions are ventures I have contemplated for a long while, and even looked for, but was never satisified with what I found - so many intriguing occult tools that I felt needed to be "Satanized", as it were, so I modified what I came to possess, and eventually, felt that perhaps other Satanists would appreciate these ideas and products, such as "The Satanic Runes" which I once read was suggested by Blanche Barton in her book "The Church of Satan", but no-one ever brought it to the fore, but perhaps other Satanists had created for themselves, as I had. So I finally exerted the effort when I had the time and opportunity to create these hand-hewn oracles specifically made for the Satanic Magician; as well as the forthcoming "Draconian Tarot" - which is a labor of pleasure as each is being slowly but surely manifested - what initially inspired this idea was the "Satan's Tarot" deck, which has been a tremendous tool of meditation for Me - unfortunately, it has since gone out of print, but I would assuredly love to see it return one day. As to the intended purpose of the crafts I create, as I wrote in the introductory description, "These may serve in manifesting the elements of the Microcosm more perfectly into the Macrocosm. The Individual acts as the aggressive Force, thus actualizing the Will more perfectly. These meditative tools serve to sharpen the Satanist's perceptions & Magical omnipotence. At most, they will intensify the inherant potencies. At the very least, they will make for delightfully & diabolically artful novelties & conversation pieces. In the end, it is what the Individual enfuses into them. Remember, The Satanist is the manipulator, NOT the manipulated!"
The Devil's Chord idea presented itself when I began to imagine the possibilities to work Magic right under the noses of one's quarry while in public, as it would assuredly be an intensification of Lesser Magic, as it serves to focus the Will unto a veritable razor's edge, plus adding a stimulating "forbidden element" as well. Inspired by the Catholic rosary, I thought that certain daemonic signatures do cause changes in the immediate situation and the mind frame of the intended target, and thus, contemplated the possibilities of carrying these upon one's person in one form or another. The result was a series of beads representing The Nine Satanic Statements, The 11 Rules of The Earth {for personal meditation}, connected by larger beads with Goetic signatures thereon, which one would grasp and utter one's will according to the characteristics of that particular daemon. From My experimentations with these Goetic Daemons through veritable 'communions' thereof, the Satanist would treat these thought-forms as "brothers and friends", not as subjugations as the blindlighter occultnik would endeavour to do, many times deriving insanity from the encounter. Because of the Satanist's attitude towards these diabolical projections, these forces are cooperative - in league, not at odds. It is entirely possible to incorperate these forms into The Satanic Ritual for destruction, lust, love, compassion, affluence, whatever one deems, but these are complicated rites which necessitate a deep understanding of their attributes.
Much the same goes for Satan's Ouija - an idea I had never heard of, but have always been fascinated by - so I endeavoured to create it, and have to My satisfaction, as well as those who have dared to use it themselves - a truly powerful tool of connectiveness to The Forces of Darkness collectively called Satan. This includes a booklet detailing the methods with which to connect directly to The Forces of Darkness.
Lucifer's Mirror came forth through meditation and comtemplation on the processes of Mirror Magic. I have a mirror upon which I stretched black electrical tape in the form of a pentagram, and decided to work magic within its geometry, and to incredible results - each and every time I projected thought-forms into its fetters, the intended target experienced exactly what I intentioned, and thus, the thoughts began to churn in the brain cauldron, until I came upon the idea of Lucoifer's Mirror, which can serve as both a practice in "scrying", which is the discerrnment of situations and thoughts from afar, clairvoyance, what is also currently being referred to as "remote viewing, plus, it can be used as an altar emblem, that the Satanist may view his or her reflection in the mirrored emblem when working Magic, as an inspiration and a statement of one's own omnipotent divinity as God.
The Book / Grimoire "Dracomeroth" contains many spells, rites, rituals, & ceremonies resulting from personal experimentations with various techniques from both cultural and legendary origins. There is also ma section on Sex Magic I call "Orgasmancy", which utilizes the powerful force of orgasm for a myriad of purposes. There is a section dedicated to exploring the realms of Necromancy, as well as Occult-Scientific {Lesser Magic} techniques for psychological manipulation entitled "Tricks and Treats", hex / curse suggestions, love / lust indications, the Mammon Ritual for wealth, and a glossary of creatures and legendary archetypes. My other two books include "Malefik Media", which is a detailed analysis of some of the more Satanic films, music, and literature in history; and "Satan's Scroll", filled with essays from both the Shadowmantium site and The Devil's Diary magazine.
"Narrations From The Abyss" is Myself "sermonizing", as it were, reading My essays with background music and sound effects - I decided to do this one day for My personal use {as I had also previously narrated The Satanic Bible for My personal use also}, as a reference source, but I thought it came out quite well, so I decided to make it available to those who wish to possess it. Plus, I Am a fan of spoken word books as it is, so this is My contribution thereof - and there will be more available in the future.
"Blackthorne Paranormal Services & Investigations, Inc." is a parapsychological service for those who wish to have their supernatural and haunted experiences catalogued, defined, and studied by qualified individuals, actual practicing Satanic Warlocks and Witches who have experienced these their whole lives as well. The use of digital photographs, video film, sound recording, psychic impression is used for these nocturnal investigations at graveyards, haunted houses and various locations, and even in Ritual Chambers if so desired. I Myself have read on this subject matter extensively, as it is a favorite passion of mine, have an ever-increasing file on strange occurrences I have sought, and I actually took courses on Parapsychology with Dr, Diane Morrissey, who has been the subject of media biographies and reference sources for many years, and is currently teaching the course at Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, California. It was My natural inclination towards doing this anyway, so I thought that others may wish to benefit from My years of experience. 2. What does music, in its entirety, mean to you?
Music is the language of the emotions and the innermost psyche. I use what I have dubbed "Malefik Musick" {added a 'k' to differentiate between truly talented musicians and the garbage passed as "music" today by executives pushing albums} for Satanic meditation, mind-travel, and in My own rituals, which accentuate the Magical proceedings wonderfully, from the standard rites to a time-travel experience.
3. What does art, in its entirety, mean to you?
The aesthetic creation of an idealized dimension within one's own universe. Art can serve as a mandala application, to invoke a situation to occur according to one's will resulting from a focal concentration- sometimes, the characters on one's art manifest in various intriguing manners, from people who may actually look like what has been drawn, an embodiment of a situation, or a circumstance that has manifested relative to the picture. Otherwise, along with music, artistry adds prominantly to an environment's personality. I see art as inclusive of architecture, which may contain demonic geometry which inspires a fearsome and awe-inspiring impression in the viewer. An ideal home, automobile, and various personal possessions would contain this, a visual enigma I call The Lighthouse Effect.
4. Who is your favorite author, and why?
Besides LaVey, currently I would have to say Mark Twain, as I have been re-invoking this muse lately, re-appreciating his Satanic genius with great pleasure.
5. As your best friend, describe yourself.
A fierce ally and a compliment to My own being.
6. As your worst enemy, describe yourself.
A fierce enemy and the personafication of death. An inspiration towards ever-increasing cruelty and subterfuge.
7. If your persona were immortalized as a cartoon character, who would it be?
As an established cartoon character, I would have to say Batman. If it is to be one I created Myself, it would have to be the one I have already drawn a couple strips of named "Blackthorne", one of which is in The Devil's Diary IV, and others which will appear in subsequent issues.
8. Do you think there are conspiracies against the "everyday person"?
Interesting question. I do agree with what Dr. LaVey has written in The Devil's Notebook concerning The Invisible War, but by and large, these erstwhile "conspiracy theories" are fear-fodder, manufactured phobias to provide the masochistic masses with eustress - their needed stress to validate their zombified existence and make them feel somewhat alive, providing them with a purpose in life, however fictional, useless, pedantic, and erronious.
9. What do you do with your spare or free time?
Student of Academia and Life. Courses in Anthropology {being a "mis-anthropologist" Myself, it is interesting to note the various characteristics of inferior humans, thus re-inforcing My analyses and opinions of the herd with evidence}; Psychology of Religion, to acquire a deeper comprehension of the metaphors underlying all religious belief-systems, which fundamentalists fail to understand; and Humanities, to gain a comprehensive understanding of various historical personas, mythologies and philosophies. The study of these subjects has proven to be a confirmation of Satanism being the most powerful religion on earth, and the Satanist being the highest development of human life.
Besides this, reading, writing {currently working on horror-novel}, drawing {pencil & ink sketches, digital imaging}, knowledge-testing games, indulgence in many different forms, a favorite being erotica, walking out in thick natural environments, Nocturnal Constitutionals, Martial Arts {Ninjutsu, Kenpo, Kendo (Bushido), Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu San-Soo (particularly Dragon-style), Judo, and inclusive of originating My own style, "Kuan Kung-Fu" (named after "Kuan Kung", the Chinese God of War depicted riding a dragon, many times displayed demonstrating the Cornu), "Drac-Do", or "Oyama-Do"}, Weight-Lifting, web design.
10. Please give us your interpretation of "the meaning of life".
To follow one's passions and bliss to the furthest extent, and creating innovations therein. To adhere to the daemon-voice within. To make one's devil's mark on earth. To retain one's Satanic purity by remaining honest with oneself, and ever-evolving to one's highest potential by testing one's caliber, thus traversing unto higher levels of being. To persue what beings one joy and the avoidance of misery. The destruction of enemies, and the experience of pleasure for oneself and one's own. The manifestation of one's dreams unto materialization.
