1 - Tell us how your project(s) were started.
Well Damage was just a few friends that wanted to do a SXE band in Philadelphia. Nothing more nothing less. Never tried to change the world. Just wanted to scream about things that bothered me in life. Damage II was just continuing from where D1 left off.
No Rights was just a project of Damage II, to put one of our friends on vocals...and me on bass. Just fun times. No stess
Dead By 23 was something I always wanted to so start, a record label. I have been a collector for many years off & on. So it seemed like something I should try out. Plus there was a lot of smaller bands that I wanted to help out.
2 - What does music,
in it's entirety, mean to you?
Its been a huge part of my life for over 10 years. I have lived in it, worked in it...and just enjoyed listening to it. It's my one thing in life that I can always trust to be there.
3 - What does art,
in it's entirety, mean to you?
Art is also something I love . I look at it as a very important part of music & putting out records. that was half of the reason for DB23. I wanted to bring cover art back to actual artwork and not Photoshop trash. Don't get me wrong there are some people that I consider artists like Jake Bannon and Duncan Long.. thier covers are ART, but most of the time Photoshop cover art all looks alike. and I just got bored with seeing it. I can always look at Jake's work and be stoked.
4 - Who is your
favorite author, and why?
I never have time for books, but I like Dan O, & Rollins. Fortunate Son was a good book. It was about our shithead of a president and his rise to his position of power. The author ended up committing suicide because he got blackballed through the media for what he uncovered about Bush and his life, and it intern ruined his life. Its a pretty interesting story
5 - As your best
friend, describe yourself.
Well I'm pretty calm cool and collected. I'm a very thought out person. I am a loner & always have been. I give until I cant anymore and I always tried my hardest, then moved on.
6 - As your worst
enemy, describe yourself.
I only have a few people that hate me. Hate is pointless. I have moved on.
7 - If your persona
were immortalized as a cartoon character, who would it be?
Optimus Prime.
8 - Do you think
there are conspiracies against the "everyday person"?
Yeah. The everyday person will never get to see the crimes the government commits against us. We are eternally screwed. The rich get richer & the poor get poorer. The standard of living and morals are declining by the generation. Where will we be in 50 years?
9 - What do you
do with your spare or free time?
Photography & silk screening. They are both like a hobby/business/artistic outlet. I always loved art, and this is the only art that I can produce. so I have fun doing it.
10 - Please give
us your interpretation of "the meaning of life".
Be the best person you can possibly be and never stray from your personal morals. If you raise kids try your best to improve for them what your life contained, and while you are here, make as many people's lives as best as you can. We aren't here to make things worse. We are here to make things better & improve our standards by making mistakes and learning from them.
