In late 1992 Hangman (7" on Youth Bus Records) was breaking up, and after trying out several vocalists, Adel 156 of Miami's first hardcore band, Violent Deed
tried out and they thought it all fit perfectly.

Later asking Adel for a list of words or phrases that meant "the apocalypse".
The list was long, but one phrase stuck out. They chose the name Timescape Zero.

The original guitarist - Frank - left to join the military and was soon replaced by Bry, who had roots in the local punk and hardcore scene, playing in bands since the late 80s. As luck would have it his current project, straight-edge hardcore band Beyond Reason (7" on Youth Bus Records) had just disband.

They played several shows in their first few months together - opening up for Sick Of It All, Into Another, Shelter, 411 & other hardcore bands.

While Playing in Tampa Sean Bonner asks them for a track for a compilation of Florida hardcore bands on his new label, Toybox Records. The world was now exposed to their virus - releasing the track, Kali-yuga on his It's A Florida Thing compilation 7 inch.

Later self-releasing two demos and a split 7 inch with metal outfit, Subliminal Criminal.
Their Welcome to the Kali Yuga demo got the band picked up by several labels.

The first LP - well, talk about good luck / bad luck... in 1993 Timescape Zero won two local awards for Best New Band and Best Demo Release. A prize along with the first of the awards was 10 hours of free recording at Gled Studios. They watsed no time and recorded the Born with the Fear of Dreaming session. A guy named Paul asks to press this on 12 inch vinyl. He releases 500 on his new label, Hefty Records. Soon realizing they had been ripped off, and not even receiving personal copies, they later self-released another 1000 on cassette. Luckily it was the second award's prize.

In 1996 Timescape Zero go on hiatus to write music. Later, newly reformed, they are picked up by X-Ray Records in 1997. Timescape Zero begin practices to go into the studio and record five new tracks, plus five older, yet unrecorded songs. Later released as the Total War album.

Getting Boyd Rice to donate spoken word tracks to the project, and placing Ragnar Redbeard's poem "Logic of To-Day" to the track, "Might is Right!", quickly made this a favorite. It was out-of-print by 1999. Total War was thier last recorded album. They played several shows after the record's release, but halted live performances as of October of the last millennium (1999).
Many await their return.

Their seminal Florida hardcore CD classic, Total War has been re-released by FEAST of HATE and FEAR, and is available from:

Very Distribution - Revelation Records - Interpunk
